KOMIK DIGITAL MAK IRITS SEBAGAI MEDIA PENGENALAN PARIWISATA DI KOTA SEMARANG

Abstract


Semarang City is the capital city of Central Java province which is geographically located on the crossing route between West Java and East Java, this causes Semarang to be often only considered as a crossing area by tourists, even though Semarang City has many interesting and educational attractions. With so many choices of tourist destinations in Semarang City, what is needed now is the development of social media content that has a function as a medium to promote tourism potential in Semarang City so that it is increasingly known by the public. In addition, current technological advances cause unlimited media that can be used as promotional media, one of which is comics, which are considered quite effective because comics contain text, images, and storylines. Currently, comics, especially digital comics, both those made using digital media and traditional comics published digitally, are in great demand by the people in Indonesia, as seen from the large number of comics imported into Indonesia. The choice of digital comics as a promotional medium has been considered because apart from making comics digitally faster and more efficient, there are now many platforms to publish comics for free such as LINE Webtoon, Kakaopage, Koomik, and so on. Komik Mak Irits itself is a comic by Rahmi Aziza that has many unique charactwith the main character Mak Irits being economical. Using the comic Mak Irits in the comedy genre, it is hoped that the delivery of messages to the public can be received better.
