Peer Review Process

Every article that goes to the editorial staff will be selected through Initial Review processes by Editorial Board. Then, the articles will be sent to the Mitra Bestari/ peer reviewer and will go to the next selection by Blind peer review Process. After that, the articles will be returned to the authors to revise. These processes take a month for a maximum time. In the each manuscript, Mitra Bestari/ peer reviewer will be rated from the substantial and technical aspects. Peer reviewer that collaboration with JPIT is the experts in the computer science area and issues around it. They were experienced in the prestigious journal management and publication that was spread around the national and abroad. The review process shown below

Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

  1. The author submits the manuscript via OJS.
  2. The editor will pre-review the manuscript. If the submission meets the basic requirements, the editor will notify the author to inform and request payment of the review fee (2 weeks).
  3. After the author completes the payment, the editor will send the manuscript to the reviewers. If the author does not make the payment, the editor will make the decision to Refuse Submission and notify the author (2 weeks).
  4. After reviewing the manuscript, the reviewer will recommend acceptance if the manuscript is good. If improvements are needed, the reviewer will advise the editor to request a revision from the author (2 weeks).
  5. The editor will send a notification to the author regarding the reviewer's decision via OJS and email (1 week).
  6. If revisions are requested, the author will revise the manuscript and resubmit it via OJS (2 weeks).
  7. The editor will send the author's revised manuscript to the reviewers (1 week).
  8. After reviewing the revision, the reviewer will request further revision if the manuscript is still not good. If the manuscript is acceptable, the reviewer will recommend acceptance to the editor (2 weeks).
  9. The editor will notify the author regarding the reviewer's final decision via OJS and email (1 week).
  10. If the manuscript is declared good, the editorial team will accept the submission via OJS (2 days).
  11. An Accept Submission notification will be sent to the author via OJS (2 days).
  12. The manuscript enters the production process, including the editor notifying the author to pay any additional publication fees for exceeding the maximum page limits (1 week).
  13. Manuscript published.
